Stop plug
The plug is used together with remedial wall tie no. 23; it prevents mortar from running down into the air gap.
You can also increase the free length by adjusting the placement of the stop plug. It is important to ensure that enough space remains for the anchoring compound and the new joint. In most cases, you can add at least 20 mm thanks to the backer rod.
